FAQs

Why is this effort called Chatmandu?

It is called so as a play on words combining the words “chat” and “Kathmandu” into Chatmandu. It is my hope that besides raising funds for education and daily necessities we will be able to ultimately build social connectivity and link students in the United States and the Children’s Home.

What’s the relationship between Chatmandu, the Children’s Home, and the Asmita English School?

This effort hopes to raise funds that will enable children from the Children’s home to attend the Asmita English School.

How do you make sure the funds are applied to your projects?

The funds donated will go to a separate account controlled by the Board of the Chatmandu Foundation Inc. and Henry as the Vice President. They will supervise and ensure the expenditures are made for school fees and daily living necessities (e.g. mattresses and blankets).
