Dashain is more than just a festival; it is a deeply spiritual and cultural event that unites families and communities. Celebrated in honor of Goddess Durga’s victory, it symbolizes the triumph of good over evil and provides an opportunity to renewal.

This summer my friend and I launched and managed an ice cream business in our town.

9 Stundents from opposite sides of the world and 10 hours and 45 minutes time diffrence connected via Zoom and What’sApp to chat.

To further social connectivity between students in the US and Nepal, I have partnered with my art teacher from Westminster School, Mrs. Kendall, to create social connectivity through artwork. Art students in Mrs. Kendall’s introductory classes created etchings of kids at the Children’s Home from photos.

The 53 children and 10 nannies/staff are now equipped with new warm bedding as the cold Nepali winter begins.

Thanks to the countless and generous donations from all of you, the 7 children are now enrolled in the Asmita English School. Thank you!!

What started with an idea and a “Go Fund Me” page will now be continued in a more formal way as the tex exempt Chatmandu Foundation inc..
