Conversational Social Connectivity

Chatmandu’s third initiative is for social connectivity. For our initial meeting, three Westminster students including myself, met with six children from Florida International Boarding School in western Nepal, a sister school of the Children’s Home.

For this initial session, we intended to meet at 9:15pm (8 am Nepali time) for roughly half an hour. However, due to power shortages on the Nepali school’s end, the meeting was pushed back until 9:30pm. Once power was back on for them we introduced ourselves to each other and mostly talked about our interests and day-to-day lives. Going forward we hope to meet twice a month and begin conversations about larger cultural differences.
